In this project, leaving the former eclectic appearance behind, I decided to go for the refined Scandinavian style characterized by simplicity and naturalness.

For simplicity, I used a neutral palette. I had wallpaper put in the hallway, and I made the weary coloured walls of the living room repaint. I myself painted the brick wall grey, using a special technique. Not only the walls, but the furniture and upholstery are neutral too, all matched up with red.

Wooden beams and wooden floors, combined with cotton fabrics and Persian rugs, all serve naturalness. Unusually, though true to style, I didn’t put a curtain on the freshly painted beautiful old windows so that natural light could always flaw in.

Eventually, I got rid of the unnecessary pieces of furniture so that I could boldly place the two sofas diagonally into the centre of the living room. In addition, I designed a music corner, a workstation, and a special “shoes off” corner with cinema chairs.
