Beach inspired bathroom

An unusual and exciting solution in this project was designing the proportionally sized shower from the kitchen pantry – which had been on the other side of the bathroom. With this economical trick, I greatly increased the space.

The tiles are unusual too. I was inspired by rocky beaches when choosing the tiles. I opted for water-blue mosaic tiles for the shower; pebble tiles for horizontal, dark brown tiles for vertical surfaces. The monotonous mesh of small wall tiles is broken by the circular mirror (imitating two ship cabin windows) and the circle pattern shower curtain.
